Wolfe Communications also publishes Lake Simcoe Fishing and Recreation News, a newspaper dedicated to the Lake Simcoe community.

Lake Simcoe is a community unto itself and this newspaper will help tie the many communities that exist around the lake together by providing information on the environment, wildlife, fish and remediation programs and the many outdoor recreational activities this lake has to offer.

With the publication of Lake Simcoe Fishing and Recreation News, the residents and visitors of Orillia will become aware of what is happening on the south shore of Georgina, the south shore will become more familiar with Barrie. Barrie will find out what is going on in Ramara and Beaverton and Beaverton will get news of Bradford, Innisfil and Oro-Medonte. The editorial in this new publication is a collaboration of many individuals, groups and government agencies. Throughout the pages of the Lake Simcoe Fishing and Recreation News, you will learn how the Ministry of Natural Resources is working to manage a sustainable sport-fish community in Lake Simcoe; you will find out what the Anglers and Hunters are doing to address invasive species in the lake; you will read about the environmental studies and restoration projects conducted by the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority.
